Over the years the people of Nelson have enjoyed taking part in carnivals and events, whether it be a Queens’ jubilee, D Day remembrance or simply a village carnival with Jazz bands. Here a number of photographs that are a reminder of those past days. They are not in any particular order but there will be many faces that you will recognise.
